Below is a list of possible games

and activities. 


Games

Flashcards

Students win one ribbon per level

Students are quizzed on the following subjects: notes, symbols/vocabulary, key signatures, and intervals according to their current skill level. Primer to Advanced levels available. 

Circle of Fifths

Students win one ribbon per level

Students are tested on their knowledge of the circle of fifths

Major, Minor or Both

Lego Chords

Students win one ribbon per level

Students build triads/chords using the alphabetized legos. There will be four levels of chord construction for students of all levels, Including basic triad building, major/minor, inversions and 7th chords.  Primer to Advanced levels available.

Tip Toe Through the Notes

Students win one ribbon per game

Students race against the clock to find as many notes on the staff in the garden of notes on the floor. Primer to Advanced levels available. Advance level is what we call the extreme ledger lines!!

Treble Twister

Students win one ribbon per game

Students play twister while having to identify the rhythmic notes given. The last student left standing wins! All-Ages appropriate.

Find the Beat Challenge

Students win one ribbon per game

Rhythms of varying levels of difficulty are displayed on the wall. The student selects one and claps it.

Students win 5 ribbons per piece.


Scales Testing

Students win one ribbon per scale performed.  Possible 30 ribbons with enharmonic scales included.


Written Theory Testing

Students win 5 ribbons for completing a level.  They also receive a certificate if they score or 80%  or higher for the level tested.

Ribbons and Prizes

the fun begins

After earning ribbons, students can exchange them for prizes at the prize table or just keep the ribbons for another year!

Prizes cost between one to fifty ribbons.
