"Over the Barline and Through the Notes"
Dr. Jody Graves
Join us on November 20th, 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, 10830 Elmore road, for a workshop with Dr. Graves as she discusses and demonstrates specific practice techniques and motivational activities for elementary and intermediate students. Cost is $20.00 per person and pre-registration is not required.

AKTA Open House

AMTA Conference
The 2009 AMTA Conference will be held on Friday and Saturday, August 14-15, at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Randy Faber, co-author of the Piano Adventures series and other books, will give piano and teaching workshops on both days. Topics include the ABCs of Artistry and The Good, Bad and the Ugly of teaching. Gary Ingle, the executive director and CEO of MTNA, will speak on Saturday August 15. Let's Tango
A Workshop with Dr. Gerardo Ascheri
"Let's Tango"-- a historic overview of the tango form, describing its origin, evolutionary stages and various styles. The lecture includes performance, listening as well as a list of teaching pieces in the tango style.

- April 4, 2009 Unfortunately, the festival is canceled this year due to low enrolllment numbers.
Mountain View Boys and Girls Club Piano Lessons
- AKTA teachers and student members of the club began classes during the last week of January and will continue through April. It is a wonderful new project which provides piano lessons to children who do not have the resources to enjoy a keyboard music making experience.
